Being a Celebrant is who I am

My life and my work are the same; there is really no separation. Being a Celebrant isn’t something I do once in a while… it’s imbued in my very being, my DNA!

All my life I have been guided by a strong personal sense of purpose. And lately I’ve been doing my own reflective work to be able to articulate that more clearly. Keeping it simple, here’s what I’ve come up with:

My PURPOSE in Life

Awakening people to the Patch of Blue™ inside them.  Okay, so you’re wondering: “What does that mean, exactly?”  Well, you know how:

… when a song comes on that reminds you of summer, you can close your eyes and be instantly transported back to the beach, feeling the sun on your skin.

… in the aftermath of a big storm, the cloudy sky opens up to allow a brilliant ray of sunshine. And you can’t help but turn your face to the light.

… on a truly crappy day when a complete stranger does something so unexpectedly kind that your black mood completely disappears!

That’s the Patch of Blue.

It’s there even in our darkest times. Hard to touch sometimes to be sure, but we can find our way to it.  Even if just for the briefest of moments. Our knowing of this deep inside can hold us up when we need it most, or lift us to greater heights of joy in our happy times.

This is what yearn for… and it is what attention, love, and reflection can bring us.  Helping you access your own Patch of Blue is my purpose.
